Offering a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, a floating inner focusing system, and Hyper Sonic Motor, the lens provides quick and accurate control. The lens allows for artistic expression with its circular 9-bladed aperture for blurred background effects as well as a minimum focusing distance of 11.8" so you can capture wide-angle close-ups from nearly a foot away. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and FLD glass elements and Special Low Dispersion elements also ensure sharp and high contrast images. You can adjust focus easily switching between autofocus and full-time manual focus, without having to switch camera modes or change settings - just flick the AF/MF switch. With the 35mm Art Lens you get greater build quality and strength thanks to the Thermally Stable Composite compound material and high accuracy and durability with a brass made bayonet mount. The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens is compatible with the USB Dock for updating the lens' firmware and adjusting its parameters such as focus.
