If you’re a fan of Nikon’s prime lenses or tend to take more landscape photographs, the brand has a new Z series lens coming your way that will fulfill your low-light story-telling needs. Nikon recently announced their new Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S wide angle prime lens, which is slated to drop next month.
Captivating vivid, bright colors in cityscape and landscape settings, the new fast lens features an upgraded auto-focus, a 9-blade rounded f/1.8 aperture and is now the widest prime in Nikon’s Z mount series. Being that you’ll be able to incorporate a broader perspective into photos, your story-telling abilities will expand even further than you imagined, including larger group shots.
The new lens from Nikon has the capability to shoot with pristine sharpness in low-light settings and can reduce the vignette levels of the final image. The auto-focus feature for this model is fast and nearly silent as the stepping motor partners up with the light gathered from the dynamic Z mount. You’ll be able to include everyone and every detail in the shots with the width of the Nikkor Z 24mm and can grab more in individual frames while filming videos. Whether you’re using the lens indoors or outdoors, the fast auto-focus and f/1.8 aperture will provide photos without grainy overlays.
The new Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S wide angle prime lens is currently available for pre-order and is slated to be available for retail purchase in late October 2019.
