With the high success and popularity of their instant cameras, Fujifilm is adding to their lengthy roster with the announcement of the Instax Mini 11.
The new instant shooter from the popular photography brand might look extremely similar to its former versions, but make no mistake about it carrying all new features and colors. Coming in five different color shades, including Sky Blue, Lilac Purple, Ice White, Charcoal Gray, and Blush Pink, the Mini 11 has an upgraded body with rounder and a more "modern" appearance.
Even though this instant camera contains the same 2 element 60mm lens as the Mini 9, the Mini 11 is a lot more self-friendly for those who prefer to take photos of themselves with their own hands.
Not only will users still be able to use the selfie mirror included at the end of the lens, but there is also a selfie "Mode" that can be accessed by pulling out the front of the lens barrel. Once the mark appears, the camera then provides a "Macro Mode," which drops the minimum focus distance to 0.3m. This means that there is no need for any lens attachments!
In addition to it's new Selfie Mode, Fujifilm is also including an Auto Exposure in this new Instax product. This feature will set the shutter speed and flash output based on lighting, which allows the camera to pick up bright backgrounds and brighter subjects, regardless of dark settings.
After you've captured your images, just wait approximately 90 seconds for the film to develop and gift you with your final photograph that can be held in the palm of your hand. If you're worried about your battery draining your camera after you've forgotten to power the Mini 11 off, the camera will ease your anxiety, as it powers off automatically after 5 minutes of idle time.
