The Most Instagramable Places to Visit in Palm Springs

Selfies have, for many people, become an essential part of their lifestyle.

This Palm Springs resort in California houses some of the most picturesque and unique desert landscapes on the planet. Its mid-century modern architecture, towering palm trees, and soaring mountains make it an Instagrammer's paradise. By looking for funny selfie captions for Instagram and combining that with the perfect selfie opportunity, you'll ensure engagement on every post.

So, let's take a look at some of the most Instagram-worthy sites to visit.

That Pink Door

This mid-century architecture site is a favorite amongst Instagrammers. Colorful doors are typical in Palm Springs, but none are as famous as 'that pink door' on East Sierra Way, which has scored more than 8,500 Instagram tags. It's important to remember that the house is a private residence, so please be respectful.

The Palm Springs Sign

With the frontier experience behind you, it's time to enter Palm Springs. The resort's iconic sign can be found on North Palm Canyon Drive, simply park at the Visitors Center and walk over to it. For the best light, it's essential to avoid early morning photos, just be sure to capture the mountains and palm trees in your shot.

The Twin Palms Estate

This estate belonged to Frank Sinatra and is one of the most iconic houses in Palm Springs. It has a piano-shaped pool and, when the sun is in the right spot, the mansion's awnings shadows appear as piano keys. The legendary singer's residence is situated at 1148 East Alejo Road.

It’s covered in messages of love, religious words, and radiant scenes of nature. This unique spot has been tagged more than 133,000 times on Instagram.

Pioneertown Post Office

Although it’s a bit of a detour, claiming a selfie at the most photographed post office in America is definitely worth the effort. Located at 53441 Mane St., Pioneertown, it forms part of an authentic Old West movie set, and this postal outlet is still fully operational. The town also hosts a bank, bathhouse, frontier-inspired jail, and motel.

Using Instagram’s Earlybird filter on your selfie taken in front of this attraction makes for an excellent story.

The Saguaro

Found at 1800 East Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, this resort is an Instagram essential. It presents the visitor with desert modernism architecture painted in bright pastels and has been featured in style magazines such as Elle, Vogue, and Esquire. It hosts a stunning courtyard, and ballroom and its terrace provide breathtaking mountain views.

This Bauhaus-inspired hotel exemplifies desert modernism architecture. Situated at 710 East Palm Canyon Drive, it represents a 1950's vision of a utopian future with its eclectic light fixtures, sloped walls, and bright white walls. This former Howard Johnson motel is popular amongst hipsters, and it's pet friendly.

It's also home to the King's Highway restaurant that's famous for its local organic fare and, of course, Stumptown Coffee.
